Optimizing Treatment Decisions in Platinum-Resistant Ovarian Cancer: Evidence, Sequencing, and Understanding Patient-Centered Care Through Case-Based Learning
Activity Overview
Platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (PROC) remains an area of significant unmet need, where treatment goals focus on prolonging survival while preserving quality of life. As new therapies emerge and the treatment landscape rapidly evolves, clinicians must navigate increasingly complex decisions regarding biomarker testing, treatment sequencing, efficacy expectations, toxicity management, and patient preferences. This highly interactive, case-based educational program will begin with a competitive landscape update reviewing available and emerging therapies in PROC, including efficacy benchmarks, safety considerations, and evolving clinical evidence. Faculty will then guide participants through real-world patient scenarios that explore biomarker-driven and biomarker-agnostic decision-making, sequencing strategies, management of treatment-related adverse events, and practical treatment selection considerations. Throughout the discussion, faculty will examine how recent and emerging data may influence future standards of care and improve the patient experience. The program will emphasize translating evidence into practice, helping clinicians present the best treatment options for their patients.
