The GOG-F/SGO Bridges 3.0 Research Initiative

The GOG Foundation, Inc. (GOG-F) and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), with the support of the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC), are proud to launch the Bridges 3.0 Research Initiative.
The GOG-F/SGO Bridges 3.0 Research Initiative is a two-year, longitudinal clinical trials program designed for early-career investigators in gynecologic oncology. Its mission is to develop the next generation of trialists who will lead investigator-initiated and cooperative group gynecologic cancer clinical studies that advance the care of patients with gynecologic cancers.
By “bridging” the gap between translational science and clinical investigation, the program provides participants with formal training in clinical trial design and implementation, access to expert mentorship, and hands-on experience developing innovative research concepts. Through a combination of education, mentorship, and experiential learning, Bridges 3.0 equips emerging investigators with the skills, knowledge, and professional network necessary to become future leaders in gynecologic oncology research.

Thank you for your interest in the Bridges 3.0 Research Initiative.
Bridges 3.0 is far more than a traditional educational initiative. What sets this program apart is its immersive, real-world approach to clinical trials training.
Participants are paired with accomplished mentors and embedded within active research environments, gaining firsthand exposure to the processes that shape groundbreaking clinical studies. Scholars can participate in, clinical operations meetings, steering committee discussions and other key decision-making forums—opportunities that many investigators do not experience until much later in their careers.
Your support will help ensure that diverse voices and fresh perspectives are represented in the clinical trials of today, and that those leading tomorrow’s trials are prepared, confident, and deeply connected to the larger mission of collaborative oncology research.
As a sponsor, your organization will be recognized not just for funding a program, but for fueling a movement—one that prioritizes clinical trial excellence, workforce development, and equitable patient outcomes. Your involvement positions you at the forefront of a forward-thinking community of practice that values education, innovation, and mentorship.
We hope you will consider joining us and supporting the next generation of clinical trialists. Together, we can build a brighter, stronger future for cancer research, and the patients who depend on it.
